Suicide Bombing in China

A bus exploded in Fuzhou City, Fujian Provice, at around 2:30pm, August 8. I hadn't heard anything about this, and the Chinese government is trying to cover it up. They were confiscating cameras, but thanks to the internet information is getting through:

Read about the blast.

I wonder how much stuff happens in China that gets totally covered up. How many incidents like the slaughters at Tienamen Square did we not find out about? We should all be glad for the internet and any technology which helps enable citizens to fight oppressive governments.

Here's an article saying that google, yahoo, and msn are all censoring search results for china. We sure as hell don't want them reading about "Human Rights" or "Democracy".

And what ever happened to Google's motto of "Don't be Evil"? They sure have tossed that one out the window.

I think an overthrow of the Communist government is inevitable (assuming that is what you meant by "rot from within"). Their morals and beliefs have nothing in common with the islamic "power derives from god" belief, so democracy has a real chance of success in China.

As a middle class develops there, I think technology and rapid information dissemination will cause said middle class to get tired of despotism, which we should see in our lifetime.
